what is the name of the result file it could not open?
could be a matter of going to the chess dir in boinc projects dir and creating the file via gedit or nano.
just wondering

i have found that

all WUs have minimum quorum = 3

those who get credit have initial replication = 4 (which is OK imo)
for example http://www.chess960athome.org/alpha/workunit.php?wuid=8615152

those who dont get credit - initial replication 12 (which is wtf, imo)
for example http://www.chess960athome.org/alpha/workunit.php?wuid=8614739

I`ve only started on this project today, and if the zero rated WU problem is not resolved soon, my stay will be a short one.

Getting zero credits is not a Linux only problem, I'm getting zero credit work units on my Windows XP system too, like with this one... Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it, anyone? This does not happen with Rosetta, which is the other project I'm running on this machine.

thanks for the answer but it seems to me that support by project administrators is too much low here (like average credit :p)

you are talking of months for an unresolved problem... so i conclude that admins of this project do not put enough effort (even in message boards) and badly i cannot put more ressources on it.

Quality is also a choice criteria. Disappointed. will be back if things are going better for linux users.

I fear that it can't be fixed quickly as it is a known issue for several months now. But no one knows the reason for this. The problem is that for some strange reasons some results differ and thus are (correctly) marked as invalid by the validator. This problem was even worse before the results of one workunit were sent only to one platform, that means you won't find any workunit with linux and windows crunshers now. This reduced the error rate quite a lot, but the problem still remains...

can this be fixed quickly ?

Since the project average credit per hour is already low compared to other projects it seems that not granting credit for computer cycles donations get that average even worse that it seems on paper.
