The application does not implement suspending, which causes errors when a system stops crunching due to time-of-day limitations.

This is perhaps a known issue, but it would be a good idea to address it ASAP.

Thanks.

Because of this issue, I couldn't run Chess960 on production Linux systems. I must rely on BOINC suspending any project application at specific times or when there's user activity.

This left only my Windows desktop to contribute to Chess960. But because the Windows application can bring this system to a halt (see http://www.chess960athome.org/alpha/forum_thread.php?id=240), I ran out of systems where it was OK to run Chess960 on.

I'm sorry to say, but as Chess960 hasn't addressed these issues yet, my contribution to this project will cease.

What is the time-of-day-limitation ? Never heard. ;-)

In general preferences, it's possible to set the field "Do work only between the hours of" to limit between which hours of the day to run the applications.

Often, when this limit is reached, Chess960 is not suspended, but keeps on running, which confuses BOINC and often results in an invalid WU.
